This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.
β’ Oversee and lead initiatives aimed at fostering safe and compliant practices within the Corporate Health & Safety Department.
β’ Offer safety expertise along with skills in risk recognition and reduction within the construction sector.
β’ Promote proactive safe work practices by utilizing prevention and mitigation strategies.
β’ Stay updated on current industry safety trends and practices.
β’ Identify, implement, and continuously enhance company best practices regarding safety.
β’ Manage the safety region to eradicate occupational injuries and illnesses.
β’ Aid in the development and execution of safety training programs, policies, and procedures.
β’ Collect, analyze, and interpret data on occupational illnesses and accidents, preparing relevant reports.
β’ Generate regional incident reports and coordinate their dissemination, review, and recommended actions.
β’ Submit necessary reports to company management and regulatory bodies, including OSHA.
β’ Conduct thorough EHS facility and field audits.
β’ Develop corrective action plans and collaborate with operations on deliverables.
β’ Facilitate the completion and closure of corrective action plans.
β’ Act as the subject matter expert on corporate and governmental regulatory matters.
β’ Organize and facilitate field and facility safety meetings and training sessions.
β’ Train and mentor regional resources on construction safety protocols.
β’ Investigate injuries and incidents, creating root cause analyses and corrective action plans.
β’ Document injury and incident scenarios along with their causes in the company EHS information system.
β’ Communicate incident scenarios and their root and contributing causes to the organization.
β’ Manage OSHA citations and investigations within the designated region.
β’ Analyze metrics and review monthly incidents to identify trends and align resources effectively.
β’ Audit data collection and reporting practices for compliance with federal and state regulations.
β’ Candidates must reside in Colorado, Utah, Nevada, New Mexico, or Arizona.
β’ Primary residence should be maintained within the assigned territory.
β’ Must be available to travel up to 50% within the designated multi-state territory.
β’ Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
β’ A minimum of 5 years of experience is required.
β’ Experience with OSHA/EPA/DOT regulations and safety administration in transportation, construction, distribution, general industry, or warehousing is essential.
β’ Strong proficiency in OSHA & EPA Regulations, as well as State and Federal laws.
β’ Competent in Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
β’ A Bachelor's Degree is highly preferred.
β’ Certification as a Safety Professional (CSP) is preferred.
β’ Certification as an Associate Safety Professional (ASP) is preferred.
β’ Certification as a Construction Health Safety Technician (CHST) is preferred.
