This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Manage intricate contracts throughout their entire lifecycle, which includes acquisition, baseline management, execution, and closeout.
• Ensure adherence to FAR/DFARS, company policies, and contractual commitments.
• Review, interpret, and negotiate the terms and conditions of contracts.
• Identify contractual risks, devise mitigation strategies, and safeguard SAIC’s financial interests.
• Maintain contract baselines, deliverables, responsibilities, and milestones.
• Provide briefings to program staff regarding contractual requirements.
• Monitor and convey changes, modifications, and obligations related to contracts.
• Assist with audits, contract data requests, and compliance evaluations.
• Evaluate and support proposal activities alongside Program Managers, capture teams, and pricing analysts.
• Draft terms and conditions specific to proposals and develop solutions for proposal submissions.
• Assist in the negotiation and finalization of contract awards.
• Lead the resolution of complex contractual issues and formulate negotiation strategies.
• Negotiate terms and settle disputes with Federal clients.
• Conduct assessments of program risks and provide financial insights.
• Assess the implications of proposed changes and recommend updated contractual positions.
• Collaborate across departments to align proposal, contract, and program activities with business and financial strategies.
• Communicate intricate legal, financial, and programmatic topics to senior leadership, program staff, legal, finance, and external customers.
• Share best practices to enhance contract management, compliance, and proposal quality processes.
• Bachelor’s degree with 15 or more years of experience in federal contracts/contract management; OR a Master’s degree with 13+ years of experience; OR a PhD/JD with 10+ years of experience.
• An additional 4 years of relevant professional experience may be accepted in place of a degree.
• Extensive experience in negotiating and managing Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and Fixed Price Incentive Firm (FPIF) contracts within high-value federal programs.
• Strong knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and federal procurement processes.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to act as a business advisor, cultivate stakeholder relationships, and drive negotiations under tight deadlines.
• Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Capable of synthesizing complex contractual and financial topics into clear, actionable insights.
• Proficient in independently resolving complex contractual and financial issues while managing compliance and risk.
• Must be a US citizen.
• Certification as a Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM) or Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) is preferred.
• 100% remote work.
• Occasional travel to Reston, VA may be necessary.
