This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Assist in the development of proposals, which includes preparing and analyzing pricing proposals, engaging in TINA sweeps, and participating in proposal and program evaluations.
• Oversee and track performance and cost compliance for significant government contracts.
• Negotiate and manage agreements with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and partners.
• Review, draft, and interpret solicitations, awards, amendments, modifications, and terms and conditions.
• Identify potential risks and ensure adherence to company, customer, and government standards.
• Provide contractual advice to Contract Leads, Program Managers, and Operations Managers.
• Address inquiries related to contractual obligations, revisions, and compliance issues.
• Prepare and oversee contractual deliverables, billing processes, and cash collections.
• Draft and negotiate teaming agreements, MOUs/MOAs, as well as domestic and international consultant or sales representative agreements.
• Compile complete contract documentation packages.
• Assist in the preparation of export license applications.
• Support subcontract negotiations and manage ongoing subcontract arrangements.
• Foster strong relationships with both internal and external customers.
• Promote, communicate, uphold, and advocate for DRS’ mission, values, and culture.
• Carry out special projects as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Over 5 years of experience in U.S. government contract administration and negotiation.
• Preferred NCMA Certified Contracts Professional (CPCM) certification and NCMA membership.
• In-depth knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS).
• Strong comprehension of contract/purchase order terms and conditions, along with government contracting procedures, including sole source and competitive procurements.
• Extensive understanding of various contract types including FFP, CPFF, CPIF, T&M, and IDIQ, as well as their appropriate applications.
• Advanced knowledge of government intellectual property/software and data rights clauses, including IP marking guidelines.
• Proficient knowledge of source selection/evaluation methods, encompassing cost and price analysis.
• Familiarity with administering government property requirements.
• Thorough understanding of government contract administration, covering subcontract flow-downs, change management, inspection, acceptance, payment, warranty, close-out, and records retention.
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience in drafting, negotiating, and utilizing contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, teaming agreements, and other agreements.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Experience in briefing, negotiating, and reviewing contracts/agreements.
• Proven experience in monitoring contracts/subcontracts of increasing complexity and value.
• General computer proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
