Senior Consultant, Workforce Development – Training

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Allocate roughly 85% of your time to project-related tasks, 5% to administrative duties, and 10% to business development activities.

• Direct project design initiatives and foster client relationships.

• Act as a technical authority and/or individual contributor on highly specialized workstreams.

• Oversee projects to ensure exemplary client satisfaction with minimal supervision.

• Identify business opportunities with current clients and collaborate with leadership to pursue them.

• Take the initiative to conduct outreach and source new clients and RFPs.

• Create scalable and repeatable training and capacity-building curricula, along with adult-learning frameworks for governmental public health clients.

• Partner with the evaluation team to conduct training-needs assessments and workforce capacity diagnostics.

• Provide guidance on train-the-trainer models, peer learning, and sustainability strategies.

• Be the primary contact for technical assistance related to local public health outreach, engagement, tools, and resources.

• Develop and lead trainings for meetings, presentations, and legislative outreach.

• Cultivate and sustain relationships with local public health leaders, municipal officials, and partner organizations.

• Evaluate readiness, identify implementation challenges, and propose targeted strategies.

• Spearhead the development of implementation evaluation frameworks and success indicators.

• Document activities related to technical assistance, resource usage, partner feedback, implementation outcomes, and emerging needs.

• Transform field intelligence into actionable recommendations for strategy refinement, resource updates, and future capacity-building priorities.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience is required, including at least 4 years in a consulting firm environment.

• A Master's degree in Public Health, health education, adult learning, public administration, or a related discipline.

• At least 5 years of client-facing experience, with 2 or more years in project leadership roles.

• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a dynamic consulting setting.

• Proven experience in providing technical assistance, coaching, training, or implementation support to public-sector, public health, or community-focused organizations.

• Demonstrated expertise in workforce development, including competency-based curriculum design, recruitment and retention strategies, and workforce development planning with governmental or public health clients.

• Strong skills in adult learning, facilitation, and relationship management.

• Capability to translate strategy into practical actions for diverse audiences with varying roles, experience, and capacities.

• Proven ability to manage a high-trust, client-facing portfolio of requests while documenting needs, coordinating follow-ups, and ensuring consistency across partners.

• Candidates must reside in Massachusetts and/or possess an in-depth understanding of the state's public health landscape.

• Must be able to operate within a U.S. home-office environment.
