Senior Consultant, Power Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and implement intricate solutions utilizing the Microsoft Power Platform, which includes Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, connectors, and other related technologies.

• Convert business and technical requirements into scalable, secure, and compliant solutions on the Power Platform.

• Build custom applications and automated workflows that cater to complex business needs while adhering to established IT standards and architecture.

• Spearhead technical design initiatives, including application architecture, database design, integration strategies, and deployment methodologies.

• Generate comprehensive technical design specifications and documentation, such as system architecture descriptions, high-level and detailed designs, database schemas, class diagrams, as well as physical and deployment diagrams.

• Conduct and oversee technical design and code reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, security, and compliance with development standards.

• Spot opportunities to enhance application architecture, development processes, performance, and maintainability.

• Diagnose and resolve complex user issues, enhancement requests, and technical defects.

• Execute approved architecture and application improvements and provide technical recommendations during design discussions and reviews.

• Manage technical product release activities, including deployment, installation, training, knowledge transfer, and ongoing production support.

• Collaborate with clients, project teams, developers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure solutions fulfill business objectives and technical requirements.

• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the Power Platform team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Possess 8 years of relevant professional experience in software development, application development, or related technical disciplines.

• Demonstrate significant hands-on experience in developing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.

• Have experience in designing complex applications and integrating Power Platform solutions with enterprise systems and data sources.

• Exhibit a strong understanding of software development methodologies, application architecture, database concepts, APIs, connectors, and integration patterns.

• Have experience in developing technical architecture and design documentation that aligns with IT standards.

• Possess experience in conducting code reviews, design reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and production support.

• Be capable of analyzing complex business requirements and translating them into effective technical solutions.

• Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work directly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Manage multiple technical priorities while maintaining high quality and adherence to delivery timelines.

• Hold Microsoft Power Platform certifications.

• Have experience supporting federal government customers or working in government contracting environments.

• Possess experience with Power Platform governance, security, and environment management.

• Have experience integrating Power Platform with Microsoft 365, Azure, SharePoint, Dynamics 365, or other enterprise platforms.

• Be familiar with DevOps, CI/CD, source control, and automated deployment practices.

• Have experience leading technical product releases and implementation activities.
