Senior Consultant, Boomi Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and implement integrations utilizing the Boomi Integration Platform.

• Create and sustain integrations between enterprise systems and external applications.

• Develop using the REST Client connector.

• Leverage Boomi Enterprise Platform functionalities such as Integration, APIM, DataHub, and AgentStudio.

• Design and execute scalable integration workflows and reusable components utilizing REST APIs, message queues, and cloud solutions.

• Conduct data mapping, transformation, and validation using Boomi tools.

• Oversee integrations and resolve production issues.

• Implement logging, error management, and performance enhancement strategies.

• Collect integration requirements from internal teams and provide solutions.

• Assist with code reviews and assign tasks to other team members.

• Maintain documentation for integration processes and APIs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient English communication skills.

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise application integration.

• 3+ years of direct Boomi development experience.

• Demonstrated experience delivering multiple end-to-end Boomi integration projects.

• Experience in enterprise integration settings with hybrid cloud/on-premise systems.

• Experience leading integration workstreams and guiding junior developers.

• Experience in conducting code reviews, managing deployments, and providing production support.

• Proven track record in defining integration standards, reusable frameworks, and best practices.

• Experience collaborating closely with business stakeholders, architects, QA teams, and project managers.

• Experience in integration monitoring, incident management, and root cause analysis.

• Experience supporting production environments with SLA-driven support models.

• Experience estimating integration efforts and contributing to technical solution designs.

• Strong practical experience with the Boomi Integration Platform.

• Expertise in REST APIs, SOAP services, webhooks, and event-driven architectures.

• Experience with Boomi Integration, API Management (APIM), DataHub / Master Data Hub, Flow, EDI, Event Streams, and AgentStudio.

• Experience integrating enterprise platforms such as NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Workday, Salesforce, Oracle ERP / HCM, and ServiceNow.

• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWT, Basic Authentication, SAML, and API Gateway concepts.

• Experience with REST and SOAP web services, XML, JSON, CSV, flat files, XSLT, and data transformation.

• Experience with database integrations, including SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.

• Familiarity with JMS, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, and AWS SQS/SNS.

• Experience with EDI transaction processing, including ANSI X12 and EDIFACT.

• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices for integration deployments.

• Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar tools.

• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization skills.

• Understanding of AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Ability to design scalable, reusable, and maintainable integration frameworks.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
