Senior Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with clients to address technical and operational challenges related to network automation.

• Maintain consistent communication with clients.

• Facilitate interactive sessions for discovery and design.

• Engage in regular meetings to ensure client satisfaction.

• Persuade clients through technical recommendations and effectively respond to any objections.

• Identify potential project risks and challenges, create resolution strategies, and assist in troubleshooting.

• Monitor project progress and rectify any delays.

• Conduct peer reviews, offer guidance, and promote coding best practices.

• Collaborate with Engineers and Managing Consultants to develop automation designs, including technology stacks and abstraction levels.

• Lead discussions with customers and articulate solution trade-offs to executive leadership.

• Convert manual workflows into high-level and low-level designs.

• Create technical documentation for client solutions.

• Embrace new technologies and exhibit technical excellence.

• Participate in the complete project lifecycle, encompassing assessment, design, development, demonstration, deployment, and documentation.

• Develop software for both internal and external projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in a customer-facing consulting role.

• Ability to simplify complex concepts and communicate them clearly to diverse audiences.

• Competence in making informed usability decisions regarding naming, user experience, complexity trade-offs, layout, and aligning technical solutions with customer skillsets.

• Comfortable with context switching and managing multiple projects at once.

• Experience with CI/CD practices and their application to network automation.

• Knowledge of data management principles, including Infrastructure as Code and Source of Truth strategies.

• Familiarity with Ansible and/or Python for automating networking devices.

• Experience with Flask/Django for developing custom APIs.

• Knowledge of pytest, Nornir, Netmiko, NAPALM, Batfish, Salt, and Robot Framework.

• Understanding of traditional Git workflows within collaborative settings.

• Strong grasp of Source of Truth automation strategies.

• CCNP certification or equivalent networking expertise.
