This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Oversee sell-side technology due diligence, encompassing evidence assessment, management interviews, buyer readiness evaluation, remediation priorities, and addressing buyer inquiries.
• Manage buy-side technology due diligence and evaluate the systems landscape, infrastructure, organizational structure, vendors, contracts, expenditures, scalability, resilience, and investment needs.
• Analyze ERP, warehouse, WMS, CRM, and PSA environments alongside the business processes they facilitate.
• Review end-to-end business processes through process walkthroughs, interviews, system evidence, reports, and operational metrics.
• Evaluate data centers, colocation, networks, identity solutions, end-user computing, backup, disaster recovery strategies, hybrid cloud solutions, and the migration of traditional COTS systems to IaaS or limited PaaS environments.
• Assess MSP and MSSP arrangements, focusing on scope, pricing, contracts, service levels, performance, transition risks, and governance structures.
• Review IT operational procedures, including service desk, incident, problem and change management, onboarding and offboarding, access management, asset and configuration management, escalation processes, service levels, and reporting mechanisms.
• Identify and quantify both one-time and recurring technology investments.
• Convert technical and operational findings into clear, evidence-based conclusions for investors and senior non-technical stakeholders.
• Create post-close systems roadmaps and assist clients in vendor selection, delivery governance, operational improvements, or filling interim leadership roles.
• Collaborate with Crosslake specialists when deeper domain expertise is necessary.
• Contribute to the development of Crosslake methods, benchmarks, training programs, and service offerings.
• A minimum of 15 years of pertinent experience in enterprise systems, IT operations, technology leadership, systems transformation, transaction advisory, or a combination of these areas.
• Proven experience leading multiple sell-side, buy-side, or similar rapid technology assessments for private equity, corporate M&A, or portfolio company clients.
• Leadership-level expertise in ERP and warehouse systems, PSA, CRM, and traditional infrastructure and managed services.
• In-depth operational or delivery experience in at least two of those three domains.
• Direct responsibility for significant business-process or systems outcomes, transformation programs, budgets, service providers, or IT operations.
• Proven ability to conduct process walkthroughs and evaluate end-to-end business processes across various functions.
• Direct experience in multiple areas including order-to-cash, project-to-cash, procure-to-pay, record-to-report and month-end close, recruit-to-retire, warehouse and fulfillment operations, and IT service management.
• Experience in selecting, implementing, upgrading, recovering, or rationalizing enterprise systems.
• Solid understanding of process and data interdependencies.
• Familiarity with traditional and hybrid infrastructures, including data centers or colocation environments and migrations of packaged applications to cloud infrastructure.
• Experience in selecting, transitioning, managing, or significantly renegotiating MSP or MSSP services.
• Strong analytical and financial judgment, with the ability to estimate one-time and recurring technology investments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with investors, boards, executives, functional leaders, and technical teams.
• Self-directed and hands-on working style well-suited to dynamic, remote client engagements.
• Preferred: Former CIO, VP of IT, Head of Enterprise Applications, enterprise systems program leader, technology operating partner, or senior M&A technology advisor.
• Preferred: Experience in professional services, technology-enabled services, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or other pertinent sectors.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Salesforce and industry-relevant PSA and professional services platforms.
• Preferred: Experience with WMS and warehouse operations; exposure to eCommerce is an additional benefit.
• Preferred: Experience in transforming diligence findings into systems roadmaps, vendor selections, implementation governance, or interim leadership roles.
• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred; however, relevant experience is considered more important than a specific degree or certification.
