This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Supervise all aspects of project management, including design, construction, permitting, occupancy, quality assurance, staffing, scheduling, project closeout, and budget oversight.
• Establish project scope, objectives, and success criteria in collaboration with senior leadership.
• Drive cross-functional teamwork and initiatives for continuous improvement.
• Guide, mentor, coach, and nurture the development of junior team members.
• Manage resource allocation, staffing choices, and performance assessments.
• Create and execute communication strategies focused on client engagement.
• Track project progress against key performance indicators, assess trends and underlying issues, and propose solutions.
• Handle contracts, budgets, expenditures, and overall financial health.
• Represent the organization within the Triad and the wider North Carolina region.
• Cultivate relationships with clients, public agencies, educational institutions, community stakeholders, and industry collaborators.
• Assist in strategic pursuits, client engagement, and the identification of new and repeat business opportunities.
• Lead impactful meetings and facilitate collaboration among stakeholders, user groups, executives, designers, contractors, and vendors.
• Oversee documentation management, procurement strategies, furniture acquisitions, and relocation procedures.
• Plan and execute client-centered projects that align with quality standards, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
• Manage a team of 5–10 project members across multiple simultaneous initiatives.
• Deliver projects that generate $1M–$3M in annual revenue.
• Contribute to portfolio expansion by maintaining existing relationships, re-engaging dormant clients, seeking new opportunities, and targeting potential prospects.
• Generally, 10+ years of experience in project management.
• Involvement in several large and distinctive projects.
• Advanced skills in construction project management, leadership, and client relations.
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities with a strategic outlook.
• Outstanding team leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
• Proficient problem-solving capabilities, including identifying root causes, potential solutions, return on investment, and risks.
• Competence with essential technology and a willingness to explore innovative solutions.
• Experience in supporting K-12, higher education, public sector, or capital improvement initiatives.
• Established relationships or connections within the Triad or the broader North Carolina market are preferred.
• Capacity to maintain an active local presence and engage in client, industry, and community activities.
• Ability to manage projects and relationships that contribute to both project and business growth.
