This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Merge 2D cadastral data, LiDAR point clouds, oblique aerial imagery, nadir satellite imagery, and additional sources into a unified model.
• Incorporate image data alongside contemporary 3D reconstruction techniques such as Multi-View Stereo and Gaussian Splatting into the final product.
• Apply textures to building models using oblique aerial imagery.
• Identify windows, doors, and façade components, ensuring accurate projection onto the respective building surfaces.
• Execute Multi-Image Super-Resolution and Occlusion-Aware Reconstruction.
• Scale methodologies from single buildings to millions in collaboration with Data Engineers.
• Discover new AI applications in computer vision and 3D reconstruction.
• Utilize advanced AI programming tools like Claude Code and Copilot.
• A Master’s degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Geoinformation Systems, Geoinformatics, Physics, or Mathematics.
• Minimum of four years of professional or research experience in (urban) 3D reconstruction, computer vision, and photogrammetry, including the creation of functional products or prototypes.
• In-depth knowledge of photogrammetry and remote sensing, encompassing sensor and camera models, calibration, and both interior and exterior orientation.
• Hands-on experience integrating airborne LiDAR and aerial imagery into metrically precise, georeferenced datasets.
• Solid foundation in geometric and 3D computer vision, including Structure-from-Motion, dense Multi-View Stereo, and point cloud processing.
• Practical experience in generating building models from point clouds and imagery.
• Proficiency in Python, along with experience in NumPy, SciPy, PDAL, GDAL, and OGR.
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Fluent in English (C1 level or above).
• Experience in PropTech, architecture, or real estate is advantageous.
• Passion for and readiness to explore cloud technologies and AI.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform, is a bonus.
• Proficiency in the German language is a plus.
