This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Deliver transmission planning consulting services as a junior engineer under the guidance of experienced staff.
β’ Contribute to projects for Municipal Utilities, Investor-Owned Utilities, and Regional Planning organizations (ISOs/RTOs).
β’ Address straightforward, routine technical challenges by following established procedures and policies.
β’ Implement electrical engineering principles in transmission system planning and power system analysis.
β’ Enhance and develop skills in ETAP, SKM, CYME, Synergi, WindMil, PSS/E, PSLF, PowerGEM TARA, or ASPEN.
β’ Assist in the technical documentation of project outcomes and fundamental analyses for project reports.
β’ Convey facts, basic analyses, and engineering processes to colleagues.
β’ Acquire knowledge to apply NERC reliability standards, FERC regulatory policies, and IEEE standards to infrastructure initiatives.
β’ Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
β’ Preferably 0 - 4 years of relevant prior experience.
β’ Fundamental understanding of and ability to utilize principles, theories, and concepts of electrical engineering, including load flow, short circuit, and basic circuitry.
β’ Capability to resolve routine technical issues within a team setting.
β’ Strong oral and written communication skills for effective collaboration with peers.
β’ Openness to travel to project and/or client locations as necessary for data collection or team meetings.
