This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +1 more state.
• Oversee the daily operations of the dbt Slack community.
• Collaborate with community leaders and internal stakeholders on channel strategies, community guidelines, and engagement initiatives.
• Create and maintain moderation and support workflows, which include triage, escalation paths, response playbooks, and enforcement of the Code of Conduct.
• Mentor, assist, recruit, and onboard moderators and community champions.
• Produce announcements, highlights, prompts, and content that tells the community’s story.
• Convey community insights and member feedback to Product, Marketing, and Support teams, while ensuring the community is updated on outcomes.
• Track and report on engagement and health metrics, and conduct experiments for improvement.
• Administer the digital engagement tool stack, which encompasses Slack workflows, analytics, knowledge base, integrations, and web portals.
• Coordinate and manage incident responses with Legal, People, and Security teams when necessary.
• Facilitate digital engagement across community forums, social media channels, and events.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in digital community management, online engagement, or community program management within a global or distributed setting.
• Proven experience managing daily operations for a large online community, such as Slack, Discord, or forums.
• Background in moderation, member support, and maintaining community health.
• Strong grasp of online community dynamics.
• Experience in developing moderation and support workflows, including triage, escalation paths, response playbooks, and Code of Conduct enforcement.
• Exceptional written communication and facilitation capabilities.
• Familiarity with community tools and analytics, like Slack workflows, Common Room, or comparable platforms.
• Proficient in data-informed decision-making, KPI definition, impact measurement, and reporting outcomes.
• Experience in cross-functional collaboration with Product, Marketing, Support, and Developer Experience teams.
• Cultural fluency across diverse regions and time zones.
• High emotional intelligence with the ability to navigate conflict, ambiguity, and sensitive issues.
