Senior Manager, Communications – Community Engagement

📋 Description

• Design and implement comprehensive employee communication strategies that align with business goals, corporate communication plans, company culture, and organizational priorities.

• Collaborate with senior leaders and various functional teams to produce clear, timely, and engaging communications for employees.

• Create and oversee communications through email, intranet, digital platforms, employee meetings, town halls, videos, newsletters, presentations, and leadership messages.

• Develop executive communications, including talking points, leadership messages, presentations, town hall materials, and employee announcements.

• Simplify complex business information into concise, accessible, and engaging communications.

• Support communications related to organizational change, business transformation, culture, employee engagement, and major company initiatives.

• Establish communication plans, timelines, target audiences, messages, and channels for significant initiatives.

• Track employee feedback and engagement trends, recommending communication strategies accordingly.

• Create and implement community engagement strategies that support corporate citizenship and community investment goals.

• Collaborate with business leaders, employees, nonprofit organizations, and community partners to discover engagement opportunities.

• Oversee communications that promote volunteerism, charitable giving, employee-led community projects, and corporate social responsibility programs.

• Craft stories and content that highlight the company's impact in local communities.

• Organize community events, employee volunteer activities, and engagement campaigns.

• Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance participation in community initiatives.

• Assess and communicate the effectiveness of community engagement programs.

• Develop employee and community narratives that reinforce company values, culture, purpose, and business objectives.

• Write and edit articles, newsletters, executive messages, presentations, social media content, videos, and other communication materials.

• Identify stories suitable for internal and external channels across FUJIFILM Americas and global amplification.

• Ensure that communications adhere to brand guidelines, voice, tone, and communication standards.

• Collaborate with social media, digital, HR, and external agency partners.

• Act as a strategic communications advisor to leaders and cross-functional partners.

• Advise stakeholders on communication strategy, audience considerations, timing, messaging, and delivery.

• Provide communications support during organizational changes, business milestones, and high-priority initiatives.

• Manage multiple projects while ensuring quality, accuracy, and adherence to deadlines.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.

• 10-12+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications, employee communications, public relations, community engagement, or a similar discipline.

• Proven experience in developing and executing employee communication strategies.

• Exceptional writing, editing, presentation, and verbal communication abilities.

• Experience collaborating directly with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.

• Strong project management and organizational capabilities.

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

• Proven ability to thrive in a complex, matrixed organization.

• Experience crafting communications for diverse audiences and communication channels.

• Preferred: experience in a global or large corporate setting.

• Preferred: experience supporting organizational change and employee engagement initiatives.

• Preferred: experience with community relations, corporate social responsibility, employee volunteerism, or charitable giving programs.

• Preferred: experience in executive communications.

• Preferred: experience with internal digital communication platforms, intranets, employee applications, or collaboration tools.

• Preferred: experience utilizing employee engagement data, surveys, analytics, or other metrics to shape communication strategies.

• Experience in a communications agency is a plus.
