This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.
• Deliver leadership and implementation of commissioning programs, projects, and teams in a client-facing role.
• Oversee and manage commissioning for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related systems from initial design to functional testing and post-occupancy.
• Lead and coordinate commissioning teams and stakeholders on complex projects and technical systems.
• Cultivate client relationships, develop proposals, and drive new business opportunities.
• Manage project execution within defined scope and oversee project finances to ensure profitability.
• Mentor, delegate tasks, and ensure quality control for commissioning direct reports.
• Confirm that systems are designed, installed, and functioning in accordance with design criteria and specifications.
• Review MEP design documents and operational sequences for compliance.
• Prepare comprehensive system checklists and functional performance tests.
• Conduct site visits and inspections, producing detailed site observation reports.
• Direct onsite testing and monitoring of complex, integrated systems while documenting outcomes.
• Identify and proactively address issues with contractors, engineers, and owners.
• Generate technical reports and project deliverables with professional grammar and formatting.
• Independently perform all assigned tasks.
• Assist with complex renovation and new construction initiatives, including life science, healthcare, and data center facilities.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related building science, alongside 15 years of pertinent experience.
• Equivalent levels of progressive industry experience may be accepted in place of a degree.
• Required knowledge of MEP systems installation and operation.
• Strong preference for experience in life science, healthcare, and data center facilities.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.
• LEED AP and commissioning certifications (such as CxA, CCP, or BCxP) are favored.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to clients.
• Proficient in presenting information with technical writing skills, including detailed document formatting.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to independently manage multiple ongoing tasks and organize extensive project files and correspondence.
• Familiarity with financial terms and principles.
• Competence in managing project budgets, job costs, forecasting, project billing, and invoicing.
• Ability to understand, analyze, and interpret complex construction documents and building control systems.
• Skill in addressing complex team dynamics and troubleshooting building system operations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, particularly with detailed formatting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, especially in processing and analyzing large datasets from BAS trends.
• Experience with network file management.
• Ability to edit PDF documents.
• Preferred experience in creating formatted layouts.
• Prior experience with commissioning online software is preferred.
