This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Oversee the process of commercial proposals from the initial assessment of opportunities to the finalization of contracts.
• Create competitive, compliant, and profitable bids for customers.
• Direct the development of proposals, cost estimates, pricing strategies, and terms and conditions.
• Review and amend customer contracts, negotiating mutually agreeable terms.
• Act as the primary liaison with the Global Sales Team regarding Nuclear Installed Base opportunities.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, including Business Leaders, Project Managers, Engineering, Finance, Contracts, Legal, Sourcing, and Account Managers.
• Formulate and present deal structures to Business Leadership for approval.
• Engage in customer negotiations alongside the deal team as necessary.
• Function as the technical and commercial Risk Manager, ensuring adherence to the GE commercial risk process.
• Maintain the GE Customer Relationship Management System (SalesForce) and Cost Estimating tools (FinSum).
• Assist the commercial team and business unit metrics related to the Inquiry to Order process.
• Ensure a smooth transition of contracts to the delivery team.
• Manage intricate financial modeling and deal strategy to inform management decision-making and reduce commercial risk.
• A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
• At least 5 years of experience in Commercial Operations, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of pertinent experience in the Nuclear industry.
• Experience with nuclear refueling outages or similar services.
• Familiarity with customer specification review, proposal development, and/or commercial negotiations.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong presentation abilities with the capacity to engage with all levels within GEV and customers.
• Experience in developing and/or reviewing contracting terms.
• Knowledge of United States Government contracting is a plus.
• Strong overall business understanding, financial acumen, and analytical capabilities.
• Experience with risk analysis, including strategies for mitigation.
• Ability to inspire a team and enforce operational rigor.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to gain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information, if applicable.
• Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable.
