This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver commercial support to the Sales Team to facilitate the growth of controls product lines across the pole/region.
• Oversee the development of proposals and coordinate efforts among sales, finance, engineering, product line, tax, risk, legal, and execution stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Sales to create competitive proposals and effective strategies for success.
• Direct the Inquiry-to-Order proposal generation for both Core and Complex Control Projects.
• Evaluate customer tender terms and conditions, identifying deviations, mitigation strategies, and fallback language.
• Define scope, costs, risks, and pricing strategies in conjunction with commercial leaders, subject matter experts, approvers, and functional teams.
• Manage tender schedules, secure internal approvals, oversee bid submissions, and prepare for order-booking readiness.
• Present deals to the Commercial Review Board in compliance with ITO processes and delegation of authority.
• Engage in commercial and technical customer meetings as well as contract negotiations.
• Oversee advance release and short-cycle processes.
• Assist in handover meetings with the Order-to-Remittance team to accurately reflect as-sold financials and scope of supply.
• Utilize Salesforce.com to manage proposal risk profiles and pipeline forecasts.
• Facilitate communications across organizational levels and conduct deal reviews with senior and executive leadership.
• Own the ITO commercial process and provide support to other organizational functions.
• Lead and engage in LEAN and commercial excellence initiatives.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Business Administration or equivalent knowledge.
• Extensive experience in Power Generation business projects and tendering processes.
• Proven ability to lead customer negotiations and manage customer communications.
• Proficient understanding of financial models and advanced-level spreadsheet formulas.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
• Experience in contract drafting, including commercial and legal terms within customer agreements.
• Strong understanding of public tendering processes and regional procurement rules and regulations.
• Demonstrated business acumen, along with negotiation, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Capability to lead and influence across multiple functions.
• Familiarity with SCS Control Product Lines.
• Knowledge of GE Gas Power and GE Nuclear businesses.
• Experience with multiyear services/maintenance agreements modeling and quoting.
• Proven leadership in project organization.
• Commercial and technical experience.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
