This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide commercial assistance to the Sales Team to facilitate the growth of controls product lines within the region.
• Oversee the development of proposals and coordinate with sales, finance, engineering, product line, tax, risk, legal, and execution stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Sales to create competitive proposals and effective strategies for success.
• Direct the Inquiry-to-Order proposal generation for both Core and Complex Control Projects.
• Assess customer tender terms and conditions, identifying deviations, mitigation strategies, and fallback language.
• Work together with commercial leaders, subject matter experts, approvers, and functional teams to establish scope, cost, risk, and pricing strategies.
• Manage tender timelines, internal approvals, bid submissions, and ensure readiness for order booking.
• Present proposals to the Commercial Review Board in accordance with the ITO process and delegation of authority.
• Engage in commercial and technical customer meetings as well as contract negotiations.
• Oversee advance release and short-cycle processes.
• Facilitate handover meetings with the Order-to-Remittance team, accurately reflecting as-sold financials and scope of supply.
• Utilize Salesforce.com to manage proposal risk profiles and pipeline forecasts.
• Lead communications across various organizational levels and conduct deal reviews with senior and executive leadership.
• Own the ITO commercial process while supporting other organizational functions.
• Drive and partake in LEAN and commercial excellence initiatives.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Business Administration or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience in Power Generation business projects and tendering processes.
• Proficient in leading customer negotiations and managing customer communications.
• Familiarity with financial models and advanced formula-driven spreadsheets.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
• Experience with contract drafting, including commercial and legal terms in customer agreements.
• Strong understanding of public tendering processes and regional procurement rules and regulations.
• Excellent business acumen, negotiation, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead and influence across different functions.
• Knowledge of SCS Control Product Lines.
• Familiarity with GE Gas Power and GE Nuclear businesses.
• Understanding of multiyear services/maintenance agreements modeling and quoting.
• Proven leadership in project organization.
• Combination of commercial and technical experience.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
