This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +18 more states.
• Underwrite intricate, large-scale equipment finance transactions involving established middle-market and corporate clients.
• Analyze financial statements, cash flows, leverage, liquidity, debt-service capacity, collateral, ownership structures, and other pertinent risk elements.
• Identify strengths, weaknesses, and mitigating factors of transactions.
• Recommend credit structures that align with business objectives and adhere to established risk parameters.
• Prepare detailed credit memoranda and present recommendations to senior credit and executive leadership.
• Evaluate complex borrower arrangements, tailored programs, and nonstandard terms.
• Collaborate with business development professionals to assess transaction viability and propose suitable structures.
• Exercise independent credit judgment and manage assigned transactions with minimal supervision.
• Coordinate with legal, documentation, operations, and other internal teams regarding credit and closing requirements.
• Accurately complete credit reviews within established service expectations.
• Support portfolio quality through disciplined underwriting and consistent application of credit standards.
• Participate in initiatives and projects aimed at improving processes to support large-ticket business growth.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related field.
• A minimum of five years of experience in equipment finance credit underwriting.
• Direct experience in underwriting large-ticket, complex, or structured equipment finance transactions.
• Advanced capability to analyze income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, tax returns, and related financial information.
• Proven experience in preparing formal credit memoranda and presenting credit recommendations.
• Ability to independently identify risks and develop sound, well-supported underwriting conclusions.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other financial analysis tools.
• Capable of managing multiple transactions and competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• High degree of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment when dealing with confidential information.
• Detail-oriented with a robust analytical mindset.
• Confident in making independent credit decisions and recommendations.
• Comfortable working with complex or incomplete information.
