This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Oversee the strategy, negotiation, and implementation of intricate, high-value enterprise B2B contracts, which encompass SaaS and on-premises licenses, data processing agreements, business associate agreements, information security agreements, professional services agreements, channel partner agreements, and various other commercial and tech-related contracts.
β’ Act as a strategic ally to sales leadership regarding deal structuring, risk evaluation, and negotiation tactics.
β’ Collaborate with finance, security, support, and product teams to address intricate commercial and operational challenges while facilitating new market approaches, pricing models, and programs.
β’ Create and enhance standard agreements and negotiation guides.
β’ Establish workflows and processes for contract negotiation, execution, and monitoring of contractual commitments.
β’ Assist in global expansion initiatives, market entry strategies, privacy-by-design, and security-by-design efforts.
β’ Develop and present training sessions for business teams on legal best practices, engaging with legal, and pertinent legal and regulatory updates.
β’ Juris Doctor (JD) or a comparable U.S. law degree.
β’ Current bar membership in good standing within at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
β’ Over 8 years of experience in technology-related commercial law, ideally within a SaaS context.
β’ Proven experience in independently leading intricate, high-stakes enterprise negotiations, including with Fortune 500 clients and utilizing customer templates.
β’ Strong commercial insight and capability to align legal risks with business goals.
β’ Capacity to effectively engage with senior stakeholders, including sales leadership and executives.
β’ Extensive knowledge of data protection and privacy regulations, including GDPR and CCPA.
β’ Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks.
β’ Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and communication abilities.
β’ Competence to work autonomously, handle a high-volume, impactful workload, and prioritize tasks effectively.
β’ Knowledge of open-source licensing is an advantage.
β’ Recognition and accolades from sales teams are a plus.
