Senior Coating Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Deliver technical assistance to sales teams, customers, and stakeholders.

• Conduct physical inspections and condition assessments.

• Supervise product application tasks as required.

• Carry out technical evaluations of product specifications.

• Facilitate technical training sessions and presentations.

• Prepare and deliver technical briefings for customers and company representatives.

• Create inspection reports utilizing digital reporting tools.

• Assess sales proposals for technical accuracy and alignment with quality and performance benchmarks.

• Work remotely and travel to job sites when assigned or dispatched for projects.

• Assist applicators, distributors, contractors, engineers, and consultants in the correct application and use of products.

• Comprehend customer requirements and challenges, providing services that enhance coating solutions.

• Collaborate with Sales, R&D, Customer Care, and other internal departments.

• Offer technical advisory support on Hempel products and systems.

• Convey product features and benefits as an ambassador for the brand and product line.

• Ensure adherence to Product Data Sheets, guide specifications, technical and industrial standards, procedures, and best practices for painting/application.

• Gather and document data while preparing work progress reports that include testing, analysis, and interpretation.

• Provide onsite training for coatings applicators and Hempel Sales teams.

• Educate customers on the performance of coating solutions and the value of Technical Services.

• Generate and distribute timely, accurate reports for the company and customers.

• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and technical tools responsibly, ensuring that equipment is calibrated, maintained, and in good working order.

• Monitor and manage project paint inventory, updating Sales teams to prevent shortages.

• Engage in internal and external Technical Services strategy initiatives, surveys, and troubleshooting activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or Bachelor's degree.

• At least 5+ years of experience in the Coating Industry.

• Proficiency in English (oral and written) for business communication.

• Basic knowledge of MS Office.

• General computer skills.

• Willingness to travel frequently (up to 80%, both domestic and international) with adaptable schedules.

• Proficiency in Spanish is advantageous.

• Experience in marine coatings is a plus.

• NACE certification is beneficial.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
