Senior Coating Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Deliver technical support to sales teams, customers, and stakeholders.

• Conduct physical inspections and assessments of conditions.

• Supervise product application processes as required.

• Perform technical evaluations of product specifications.

• Facilitate technical training sessions and presentations.

• Develop and deliver technical briefings for customer and company representatives.

• Generate inspection reports utilizing digital reporting tools.

• Assess sales proposals for technical precision and alignment with quality and performance benchmarks.

• Travel to job sites as needed or assigned to specific projects.

• Collaborate with applicators, distributors, contractors, engineers, and consultants to ensure the proper use and application of Hempel products.

• Offer technical advisory support regarding Hempel products and systems.

• Articulate product features and benefits as a representative of the brand and product line.

• Ensure adherence to Product Data Sheets, guiding specifications, technical and industrial standards, procedures, and optimal painting/application practices.

• Collect and document data; prepare progress reports that include testing, analysis, and interpretation.

• Provide on-site training for coatings applicators and Hempel Sales teams.

• Inform and convince customers about the performance of coating solutions and the value of Technical Services.

• Create and distribute precise company and customer reports promptly.

• Address issues impacting project quality, paint usage, budget, and scheduling.

• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and technical equipment responsibly; ensure equipment is calibrated, maintained, and in optimal condition.

• Monitor and manage project paint inventory and keep Sales teams updated to prevent shortages.

• Engage in internal and external Technical Services strategy initiatives through surveys, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or Bachelor’s degree.

• At least 5+ years of experience in the Coating Industry.

• Proficient in business English (both oral and written).

• Basic proficiency in MS Office.

• General computer skills.

• Willingness to travel extensively (up to 80%, both domestic and international) and adapt to flexible schedules.

• Spanish language skills are advantageous.

• Experience with marine coatings is a plus.

• NACE certification is a plus.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
