Senior Cloud Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, development, and management of Telecare’s hybrid cloud infrastructure.

• Ensure the infrastructure is focused on cost-efficiency, availability, performance, security, and scalability.

• Provide support for on-premise private cloud, public cloud IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, database engineering, storage, and site reliability engineering.

• Suggest methods to utilize public cloud efficiency while securing data on-premises.

• Automate reliability solutions in Microsoft Azure, including high availability/disaster recovery (HA/DR) configuration, multi-AZ and multi-region deployment, and auto-scaling.

• Integrate Azure cloud with third-party software, SaaS services, and on-premise applications.

• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure systems.

• Provide leadership within the infrastructure team.

• Implement ITIL practices, encompassing service management, capacity management, change management, and documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, a related field, or equivalent work experience.

• A minimum of four years of experience and extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including automating Azure reliability solutions such as HA/DR configuration, multi-AZ and multi-region deployment, and auto-scaling.

• Experience in integrating Azure cloud with third-party software, other SaaS services, or on-premise applications.

• At least 7 years of demonstrated knowledge in working with server and storage hardware and software, including Citrix, VMware, Dell Server and Storage Systems, Windows, and Linux.

• Significant experience with Active Directory and group policy.

• Familiarity with relational databases and related technologies, such as MS SQL Server and MySQL.

• Experience with VMware vSphere virtualization technologies using vCenter is preferred.

• Knowledge of networking and security concepts within a hybrid cloud infrastructure environment.

• Exposure to PowerShell and/or bash scripting is preferred.

• Ability to collaborate within a team and provide leadership in the design, deployment, and support of infrastructure systems.

• Solid understanding of ITIL practices, including service management, capacity management, change management, and documentation.

• Azure Cloud Certification is preferred.

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Successful completion of relevant post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD tuberculosis test, criminal background checks, excluded party sanctions, and verification of degree or license.

• If driving is necessary, a valid driver’s license, motor vehicle clearance, and proof of auto insurance are required upon employment and must be maintained.
