Senior Cloud Engineer – IaC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Advance the company's Infrastructure as Code architecture.

• Develop standards, reusable components, and automation solutions for secure, standardized, and scalable cloud provisioning.

• Contribute to the ongoing development of an internal Cloud Platform.

• Enhance Infrastructure as Code architecture and standards.

• Create and sustain reusable infrastructure modules.

• Establish standards for module versioning, testing, and lifecycle management.

• Organize pipelines for secure IaC execution.

• Manage state, locking, secrets, and environment segregation.

• Implement mechanisms to avoid manual configuration and infrastructure drift.

• Enforce infrastructure guardrails and policies.

• Integrate security and compliance needs into provisioning processes.

• Develop abstractions that streamline infrastructure consumption for engineering teams.

• Transform the provisioning model to facilitate self-service experiences.

• Collaborate closely with consuming teams to comprehend their primary workflows.

• Contribute to the service catalog and infrastructure standards.

• Engage in the evolution of the Cloud Platform architecture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Familiarity with or experience in Terraform/OpenTofu.

• Understanding of Git.

• Knowledge of CI/CD processes.

• Familiarity with Atlantis.

• Understanding of cloud architecture.

• Knowledge of automation techniques.

• Experience with or knowledge of Ansible/Semaphore.

• Understanding of software engineering principles.

• Strong systems thinking, autonomy, and a robust sense of ownership.

• Ability to analyze problems prior to automating solutions.

• Capability to craft simple, scalable, and reusable solutions.

• Excellent communication skills and technical influence.

• Ability to work collaboratively with Cloud, DevOps, Security, Architecture, and Development teams.

• Curiosity, critical thinking, and pragmatism.

• Plus: HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate or an equivalent Terraform-related certification.

• Plus: Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, and Huawei Cloud).

• Plus: DevOps/Platform Engineering certifications.

• Plus: Experience with Platform Engineering and self-service platforms for developers.

• Plus: Experience in building abstractions over Terraform and reusable modules.

• Plus: Experience with IaC pipelines.

• Plus: Knowledge of Kubernetes.

• Plus: Experience in developing AI agents focused on operations, observability, or software engineering.
