Senior Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and enhance Luscii’s AWS infrastructure using Terraform as the central source of truth.

• Lead the progressive modernization of the cloud ecosystem.

• Create reusable infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and platform tools.

• Empower engineering teams to deploy independently and securely.

• Implement practical cloud-native and event-driven solutions.

• Standardize monitoring, logging, dashboards, and alerting across the platform.

• Enhance deployment practices with automated CI/CD, progressive delivery, and rollback strategies.

• Integrate security, compliance, and cost optimization through automated guardrails and best practices.

• Mentor fellow engineers and perform reviews of infrastructure and application code.

• Collaborate with backend engineers, product teams, and colleagues based in Japan.

• Shape technical direction and enhance reliability, scalability, developer experience, and cost-effectiveness for OMRON Connect.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in constructing and managing large-scale cloud platforms.

• At least 6 years of senior-level responsibility for modern cloud architectures.

• Profound hands-on expertise with AWS.

• Significant experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly using Terraform.

• Strong knowledge of cloud-native, serverless, and event-driven architectures.

• Experience in building dependable production systems with observability, automated deployments, and secure release processes.

• Proven experience in modernizing legacy platforms through incremental enhancements.

• Strong backend engineering skills, ideally with Node.js and TypeScript.

• Openness to working within a Holacratic organization.

• Proficient in English for internal communication.

• Capability to take charge of complex technical challenges and work independently while collaborating with teams.
