This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Design, implement, and manage enterprise technology solutions across on-premise infrastructure, cloud, applications, security, and collaboration platforms.
• Provide Tier 3/4 support and perform root-cause analysis for complex issues.
• Lead technical deployments, upgrades, integrations, and migrations.
• Develop and uphold technical standards, configurations, and best practices.
• Contribute to system architecture, technology roadmaps, and lifecycle planning.
• Architect Azure Government Community Cloud services within a FedRAMP compliant environment.
• Assess emerging technologies and offer business- and security-aligned recommendations.
• Architect, implement, and manage Microsoft 365, Azure, and GCC services.
• Design and enforce governance frameworks for Microsoft 365.
• Lead migrations for M365/Azure, tenant consolidations, hybrid integrations, and major platform upgrades.
• Act as Tier 2/3 escalation for complex incidents related to Microsoft 365, Azure, and GCC.
• Implement security controls and configurations to safeguard systems and data.
• Engage in vulnerability remediation, incident response, and audit readiness.
• Translate compliance requirements into technical controls, configurations, and operational processes.
• Lead efforts for System Security Plans, POA&Ms, control implementation evidence, and audit readiness.
• Ensure systems adhere to CUI protection, data residency, logging, auditability, and access control mandates.
• Collaborate with security, legal, compliance, business units, vendors, and IT leadership.
• Present technical concepts and recommendations to non-technical audiences.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, runbooks, and SOPs.
• Mentor junior engineers and specialists.
• Contribute to automation and process optimization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Over 7 years of progressively responsible experience in enterprise IT environments.
• Advanced experience with one or more of the following: Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCC; Microsoft 365 and identity platforms; compute, storage, and virtualization infrastructure; networking and security technologies; enterprise applications and integrations.
• Proven track record of troubleshooting complex, cross-platform technical issues.
• Strong skills in documentation, communication, and collaboration.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, AWS, VMware, Security+, or CISSP are preferred.
• Experience in regulated or government-contract environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with automation, scripting, or infrastructure-as-code is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in leading technical initiatives or projects is preferred.
