This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +10 more states.
• Oversee Equinix’s partnerships with key regional and global accounts.
• Establish and execute strategies for regional and global accounts to meet or exceed sales targets.
• Act as Equinix's representative to customer C-level executives.
• Cultivate relationships with executive stakeholders to drive global bookings and revenue enhancement.
• Create networks of strategic account contacts and manage customer alliance partnerships.
• Collaborate with Equinix executives and internal teams in account initiatives.
• Coordinate resources from Solutions Architects, Sales Engineering, Contracts, Billing, FP&A, Product Marketing, and Business Development.
• Present comprehensive long-term global account plans to senior executives on a semi-annual basis.
• Mentor fellow members of the GAM team.
• Define account vision and guide cross-functional teams in innovative solution creation.
• Formulate strategic account plans based on regional insights and oversee regional/global priorities.
• Supervise quarterly and fiscal-year account activities and prepare executive reports.
• Facilitate coordinated selling and account planning with global counterparts.
• Analyze customer business needs, challenges, and technical requirements, proposing Equinix solutions accordingly.
• Spearhead C-level executive selling and establish Equinix as a strategic partner.
• Utilize external partners for solution development.
• Administer commercial terms, contract renewals, negotiations, and reseller partnerships.
• Track pipeline and forecast status while prioritizing opportunities.
• Examine churn trends and formulate mitigation strategies.
• Lead intricate commercial offer and contract negotiations.
• Collaborate with sales leadership on regional and global deal assessments.
• Engage and persuade executive leadership in strategic negotiation processes.
• Preferred years of proven experience.
• A bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Capability to lead strategic account relationships with regional and global customer contacts.
• Experience in managing complex requirements and strategic partner relationships.
• Ability to formulate and implement regional and global account strategies.
• Skill in managing matrixed sales teams and cross-functional resources.
• Proficiency in developing global strategic account plans.
• Competence in managing commercial offers, contract negotiations, renewals, and churn risk.
• Ability to oversee pipeline and forecast status.
• Skill in engaging and influencing C-level and executive stakeholders.
