This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Create and oversee a pipeline of new healthcare merchant payment opportunities through methods such as prospecting, referrals, portfolio reviews, industry events, and strategic partnerships.

• Facilitate consultative discovery discussions on how clients manage payment acceptance, processing, funding, reconciliation, security, and reporting across various channels including in-person, online, mobile, recurring, and integrated.

• Evaluate merchant acquiring, gateways, point-of-sale solutions, card and ACH acceptance, tokenization, funding, chargebacks, fraud controls, PCI compliance, data security, software integrations, and reporting.

• Analyze healthcare workflows encompassing patient collections, pre-service and point-of-care payments, post-visit balances, card-on-file, payment plans, text-to-pay, online bill pay, auto-posting, reconciliation, and integrations with practice management, EHR/EMR, and revenue cycles.

• Develop and present customized payment strategies that enhance revenue growth, receivables, administrative efficiency, patient satisfaction, staff experience, and banking relationship value.

• Collaborate with product, pricing, underwriting, risk, technical, implementation, service, and banking partners from the discovery phase through onboarding, activation, and ongoing relationship management.

• Cultivate relationships with Healthcare Relationship Managers, Business Bankers, Treasury Management partners, branches, and referral sources.

• Prepare proposals, demonstrations, business cases, and executive presentations.

• Keep opportunity, activity, pipeline, and forecast information updated in Salesforce or other specified systems.

• Achieve or surpass targets for revenue, sales, approvals, activations, relationship expansion, client retention, and partner engagement.

• Remain informed about healthcare market trends, payment technologies, competitors, regulatory expectations, network rules, and emerging payment methods.

• Handle client and bank information with care, adhering to relevant laws, regulations, risk standards, and internal policies.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or a suitable combination of education and relevant professional experience.

• Five or more years in merchant acquiring, payment processing, treasury management, financial services, healthcare technology, or consultative business-to-business sales.

• Proven experience in developing new business, managing a sales pipeline, and navigating complex, multi-stakeholder opportunities.

• Strong knowledge of the complete payments ecosystem, including acquiring, issuing, card networks, gateways, processors, independent software vendors, payment facilitators, point-of-sale solutions, digital wallets, ACH, settlement, funding, reconciliation, interchange, authentication, fraud, chargebacks, and data security.

• Willingness to travel within the assigned market or nationally as business needs arise.

• Capability to attend in-person meetings and presentations as necessary.

• Preferably seven or more years of relevant payments, banking, or financial technology experience.

• Experience in healthcare payments or healthcare financial services is strongly preferred.

• Familiarity with patient payment and revenue cycle workflows, practice management systems, EHR/EMR platforms, ERP solutions, healthcare integrations, and automated posting and reconciliation.

• Knowledge of HIPAA, PCI DSS, tokenization, encryption, and point-to-point encryption.

• Experience in selling integrated, omnichannel, or software-enabled payment solutions and collaborating with technology partners or independent software vendors.

• Strong financial and analytical capabilities, including reviewing processing statements, evaluating pricing, quantifying savings, identifying workflow efficiencies, and developing value propositions.

• Excellent client-facing communication, discovery, negotiation, presentation, and executive relationship management skills.

• Proven ability to work collaboratively across sales, product, technology, implementation, operations, service, risk, and banking teams.

• Required to drive 10 or more hours per week within the local market.

• Must adhere to U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, as well as workplace conduct and safety policies.

• Must comply with applicable laws, regulations, risk standards, internal policies, and employment eligibility verification requirements.
