Senior Claims Specialist – National Claim Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Investigate, assess, and resolve moderately complex commercial general liability claims related to construction defects.

• Review policy coverage and evaluate exposure based on contractual agreements and legal precedents.

• Negotiate fair and timely settlements with claimants, attorneys, and third-party representatives.

• Accurately update internal systems and maintain comprehensive claim-file documentation.

• Collaborate with underwriting, legal, and finance teams to ensure alignment and mitigate risks.

• Identify and escalate potential fraud or litigation risks as necessary.

• Maintain open lines of communication and explain coverage decisions to provide exceptional customer service.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• 3–5 years of experience in handling insurance claims within property and casualty or specialty lines.

• Proficient in interpreting policy language and conducting coverage analysis.

• Experience in managing claim negotiations effectively.

• State adjuster license where applicable, or the ability to obtain one within the specified timeframe.

• AIC or CPCU industry designations are preferred.

• Strong analytical and investigative skills are essential.

• Proficiency in claims management systems as well as Microsoft Office applications.

• Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

• Knowledge of state insurance regulations and legal compliance requirements.

• Fluency in the English language is required.
