This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.
• Create civil engineering solutions from initial concepts to detailed design and construction.
• Develop site civil engineering plans for commercial, industrial, utility, and infrastructure development initiatives.
• Execute site layout, grading design, utility coordination, access and circulation planning, and erosion control design.
• Prepare permit applications and construction documentation.
• Coordinate plans with clients, permitting agencies, stormwater designers, and utility providers.
• Offer specialized technical input for studies and designs.
• Establish study and design procedures.
• Engage in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables.
• Generate construction cost estimates and technical effort assessments.
• Complete discipline components of PS&E packages.
• Conduct quality control reviews of design calculations and drawings.
• Draft technical specification sections.
• Travel occasionally to sites or the office, approximately 5% of the time.
• Contribute to engineering budgets and schedules.
• Guide and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality work.
• Perform site visits and field investigations.
• Devise innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges.
• Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
• Represent AECOM at client meetings and professional conferences.
• Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of experience, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• U.S. Professional Engineering License (PE) is required.
• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
• Proficient in Civil 3D AutoCAD modeling.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is essential.
• Experience in site civil and/or transportation design.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to the office or work sites.
