Senior Category Manager – Live New Verticals

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Achieve GMV objectives through strategic category initiatives, refined based on insights from new content and format experiments.

• Manage category P&L and spearhead category growth on eBay Live.

• Formulate strategies for acquiring, onboarding, and nurturing high-potential live sellers, brands, and creators.

• Develop a comprehensive playbook to mentor sellers on selection, show formats, on-camera performance, audience interaction, and growth driven by analytics.

• Create captivating live events and pioneering interactive shoppertainment formats.

• Set editorial benchmarks to enhance content quality and viewer engagement.

• Monitor category performance and assess pilot initiatives and format tests to pinpoint growth catalysts.

• Establish significant KPIs and scalable best practices for live commerce.

• Collaborate with marketing, product, and operations teams to advocate for seller requirements and ensure platform success.

• Oversee category-specific budgets and operational functions.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 6+ years of experience in Category Management.

• BA/BS degree is required.

• A clear perspective on what eBay Live must accomplish to succeed in this market.

• Exceptional analytical abilities, including deriving insights from data, formulating and testing hypotheses, interpreting findings, and synthesizing qualitative and quantitative information.

• Readiness to thrive in a dynamic startup setting with rapid changes and extended hours if necessary.

• Innovative thinking to navigate product gaps and drive business growth.

• Extensive functional experience in leading cross-functional teams with diverse strengths in marketing, product, operations, customer insights, and seller/account management.

• Excellent decision-making capabilities and the ability to prioritize high-impact opportunities despite incomplete information.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including data-driven storytelling and leadership-ready recommendations.

• Interest in or experience with the Motors segment is an advantage.
