Senior Catastrophe Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Investigate and document property claims, which includes reviewing policies, recording statements, assigning inspections, updating reserves, preparing or reviewing estimates, and negotiating settlements.

• Communicate updates and decisions regarding claims both verbally and in writing.

• Manage claims in accordance with all relevant regulations and internal procedures.

• Provide technical expertise and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Claims-related initiatives.

• Serve as a resource for less experienced team members.

• Assist with catastrophe response as necessary, which may involve overtime and deployment.

• Perform additional tasks as required to promote the company's mission and uphold its values.

• Lead high-profile and sensitive investigations into complex and specialized fraud referrals.

• Help develop a leading-edge claims handling process utilizing innovative technology.

• Support customers, agents, and employees while guiding policyholders through challenging situations.

• Coach, mentor, and engage with colleagues to facilitate positive change.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent relevant education.

• Over 5 years of experience in property claims.

• Proficient estimating skills.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Empathetic interpersonal capabilities.

• Adjuster licensed in the home state or possesses a non-resident license if not required.

• Meets licensing requirements for additional states as needed.

• Field claims experience is highly preferred.

• Experience in environments focused on catastrophe response is highly preferred.

• Holding professional designations is highly preferred.
