This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Provide technical guidance for structural investment castings throughout the value stream.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to facilitate root-cause analysis.
• Enhance producibility and productivity to achieve business goals.
• Manage technical relationships with suppliers.
• Mentor suppliers on GE Aerospace processes, specifications, and methodologies.
• Qualify and onboard new suppliers effectively.
• Innovate and industrialize alternative casting technologies.
• Promote world-class performance and standardized work across the supply chain.
• Lead structured, cross-functional problem-solving initiatives and implement sustainable corrective and preventive measures.
• Enhance manufacturability through design-for-casting, clear specifications, and improvements in process capability.
• Communicate updates, risks, challenges, and countermeasures to leadership and stakeholders.
• Review and authorize significant/special processes, dimensional results, and metallurgical findings.
• Ensure compliance with standards and qualification criteria.
• Collaborate with Quality and Design Engineering on new and modified processes.
• Work with suppliers and internal teams to interpret drawings and specifications.
• Lead technical qualifications and readiness through Manufacturing and Quality Planning reviews.
• Support supplier casting audits.
• Attend in-person New Hire Orientation on Day 1.
• Travel to Cincinnati, Ohio multiple times during the first 6 months for onboarding and training.
• Travel 30%–50% to supplier sites and internal manufacturing facilities.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical field such as Materials/Metallurgy, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or similar; or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in Casting Manufacturing.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Casting Manufacturing.
• Willingness to travel 30–50%.
• Experience with Titanium and/or Nickel-based superalloy structural investment castings.
• Proficiency in investment casting special processes, including wax, shell, melt/solidification control, heat treatment, welding, HIP, NDT, and compliance with specifications.
• Strong problem-solving and project management abilities.
• Experience with New Product Introduction, process capability assessments, and metallurgical evaluations.
• Experience in advancing technologies and processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence without direct authority.

• Transparent communicator: proactively shares critical information and engages constructively to resolve issues.
• Focused and accountable; meets commitments and drives results aligned with SQDC targets.
• Knowledge of additively enabled casting processes.
• Proficient in Siemens NX or comparable CAD software.
• Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) experience.
• Ability to establish status as a U.S. Person for access to U.S. export-controlled information.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of a drug screening, as required.
