Senior C# Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Transform Java microservices into C#/.NET utilizing AI-generated initial drafts and finalize them in accordance with client coding standards.

• Evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, overlooked edge cases, hallucinated APIs, and behavioral discrepancies.

• Associate Java constructs and libraries with their .NET counterparts, such as Spring to ASP.NET Core, Maven/Gradle to NuGet, and JPA/Hibernate to Entity Framework.

• Maintain REST endpoints, message formats, error handling, logging, and configuration behaviors.

• Create or adapt unit and integration tests to demonstrate functional equivalence.

• Assist in developing prompt templates, pattern libraries, and review checklists for scalable conversions.

• Collaborate closely with client engineers, articulate trade-offs, and determine when direct conversion may not be suitable.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in building production Java microservices (Spring Boot or similar).

• More than 5 years of practical experience with C# and .NET Core / .NET 6+.

• Proficient in ASP.NET Core Web APIs, dependency injection, and asynchronous programming patterns.

• Proven experience in migrating or re-platforming code across different languages or frameworks.

• Familiarity with microservices and RESTful architectures.

• Knowledge of API design and inter-service communication.

• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and CI/CD practices.

• Adept at demonstrating parity through automated testing.

• Capable of working independently and translating technical details for business stakeholders.

• Skilled in providing constructive feedback.

• Understanding of both Java and C#/.NET, with the ability to interpret idioms rather than just syntax.

• Nice to have: Experience with AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or ChatGPT.

• Nice to have: Familiarity with LLM-assisted development workflows, prompt design, output validation, and agentic coding tools.

• Nice to have: Knowledge of Kubernetes, AWS or Azure, and API gateways like Kong.

• Nice to have: Experience with MySQL and SQL Server.

• Nice to have: Proficiency in Python for conversion-pipeline tooling.
