Senior Business Systems Analyst – SAP WMS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee comprehensive SAP MM and WM implementations, rollouts, support, and enhancement projects.

• Facilitate project discussions with business stakeholders, leadership teams, warehouse operations teams, and IT teams.

• Function as the solution owner for SAP MM/WM initiatives and offer strategic recommendations.

• Manage projects from requirements gathering through to go-live and hypercare support.

• Collaborate with offshore, functional, technical, integration, and infrastructure teams.

• Evaluate business processes and suggest scalable SAP-driven solutions for optimizing warehouse and procurement activities.

• Configure and support various functions including purchasing, inventory management, logistics invoice verification, warehouse management, RF processes, put-away and picking strategies, storage unit management, batch management, and handling unit management.

• Assist with inbound, outbound, replenishment, cycle counting, physical inventory, and shipping operations.

• Oversee integration between SAP and external WMS/3PL systems.

• Work alongside EDI and middleware teams for interface design, issue resolution, and enhancements.

• Develop functional specifications and collaborate with ABAP developers for custom developments.

• Lead SIT, UAT, defect management, cutover planning, and production support activities.

• Drive process enhancements, automation initiatives, and warehouse optimization projects.

• Generate project documentation, SOPs, training materials, and knowledge transfer documents.

• Act as the main point of contact for SAP MM/WM escalations and critical issue resolution.

• Conduct workshops, discussions, executive-level meetings, and manage onsite/offshore delivery models.

• Manage stakeholder communications and customer expectations.

• Prioritize urgent business issues and drive their resolution under tight deadlines.

• Mentor team members and foster collaborative working relationships.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of substantial SAP MM and SAP WM implementation/support experience.

• Practical experience with SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP WM, and inventory and warehouse processes.

• Strong expertise in procurement, inventory management, warehouse operations, RF transactions, and batch and serial management.

• Familiarity with IDocs, EDI integrations, and interfaces with WMS/3PL systems.

• Comprehensive understanding of inbound and outbound logistics, STO processes, physical inventory, cycle counting, and delivery processing.

• Excellent functional troubleshooting and debugging skills.

• Outstanding communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Capacity to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Technology, Supply Chain, or a related field.

• Preferred experience in healthcare distribution, retail, manufacturing, or large supply chain environments.

• Experience with SAP EWM is a significant advantage.

• Exposure to automation and warehouse optimization initiatives is desirable.

• Knowledge of SAP CPI/BTP integration is a plus.

• Experience in large distribution centers and 3PL operations is beneficial.

• SAP certification in MM/WM/EWM is preferred.
