Senior Business Systems Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and engineering teams for modernization projects related to enterprise retail and supply chain systems.

• Convert store operations and supply chain processes into precise functional requirements.

• Collect, document, and prioritize business needs from Walmart stakeholders.

• Transform business requirements into functional specifications and user stories for cross-functional engineering teams.

• Collaborate with frontend and backend engineers to ensure delivered features align with business objectives.

• Oversee UAT cycles and establish acceptance criteria for staged transitions from legacy to modern systems.

• Facilitate backlog management, sprint planning, and stakeholder demonstrations.

• Evaluate data flows between legacy and modernized systems, identifying gaps or potential risks.

• Assist with change management and training as new systems are implemented in store and supply chain operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• BS/MS in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Over 6 years of experience as a Business/Systems Analyst on enterprise software projects.

• Strong background in retail, store operations, or supply chain (mandatory).

• Demonstrated experience in gathering and documenting requirements (BRDs, functional specifications, user stories) for enterprise-level applications.

• Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams developing React/Next.js frontends and Java/Spring Boot backend services on Postgres-backed APIs.

• Solid understanding of phased modernization approaches concerning legacy backend systems.

• Experience in facilitating UAT, defining acceptance criteria, and managing backlog grooming in Agile/Scrum settings (JIRA, Confluence).

• Strong SQL capabilities for data validation and analysis.

• Comfortable engaging directly with client stakeholders and integrating real-world user feedback.

• Excellent communication skills in English (C1 preferred; strong B2 may be acceptable).

• Must live and have work authorization in Latin America.

• Significant overlap with Mountain Standard Time (MST).
