Senior Business Intelligence Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and oversee BI dashboards and analytical solutions from start to finish.

• Collaborate with leadership to establish KPIs and reporting that align with business operations and strategy.

• Ensure the accuracy, auditability, and traceability of data for regulatory reporting purposes.

• Enhance SQL queries and BI models for managing large-scale datasets.

• Implement data governance standards, including metric definitions and documentation.

• Streamline delivery processes, tools, and metrics to boost efficiency.

• Act as a reliable advisor to leaders through effective, data-driven communication and reporting.

• Create intricate, cross-functional reports from inception to delivery in collaboration with stakeholders.

• Occasionally travel to Humana offices for training sessions or meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience leading and directing cross-functional projects with various business teams to address complex company initiatives.

• At least 3 years of SQL experience.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience with Power BI or a comparable visualization tool.

• Proficiency in utilizing Python.

• Experience in creating analytical solutions across different healthcare sectors.

• Experience in data analysis to tackle a wide range of business challenges and generate data visualizations that inform strategic direction.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills directed towards senior and executive leadership.

• A minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required.

• Must work from a designated space that minimizes ongoing interruptions to safeguard member PHI / HIPAA information.

• An undergraduate degree is preferred.

• At least 2 years of SSIS experience or experience with similar ETL tools is preferred.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in developing automations for business processes using scripting languages is preferred.

• Advanced experience with large and complex data sets in sizable organizations is preferred.

• Experience with Microsoft Power Apps/Power Automate is preferred.

• Expertise in data mining, forecasting, simulation, and/or predictive modeling is preferred.

• Experience with Databricks and Synapse Analytics is preferred.
