Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

📋 Description

• Guide sophisticated data analysis to uncover intricate trends, risks, and opportunities.

• Provide advanced forecasting, scenario planning, and comparative analyses.

• Offer insights that shape long-term organizational goals and enhance member outcomes.

• Prepare and manipulate data utilizing KNIME, Microsoft Fabric, Python, SQL queries, along with data validation and troubleshooting.

• Act as a reliable analytics consultant for business leaders and cross-functional teams.

• Facilitate intricate requirements discussions and consolidate data sources across various domains.

• Outline trade-offs, risks, and anticipated business impacts to aid prioritization decisions.

• Lead the definition of requirements and perform gap analysis for complex, enterprise-level data sets.

• Assess and validate new data sources for scalability, quality, and reusability.

• Collaborate with Data Engineers and Data Scientists in data aggregation, transformation, and modeling.

• Promote enhancements in data quality, governance, and data lifecycle management.

• Advocate for self-service analytics, enhancing data accessibility, usability, and adoption.

• Train and support power users while mentoring BI Analysts.

• Convert business needs into technical specifications.

• Suggest methods to operationalize data through tools and solutions that enhance service delivery and member engagement.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and foster analytics solution adoption.

• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.

• Execute other assigned duties.

• Travel to all credit union regions may be necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Five to eight years of relevant or related experience.

• Proven experience in assessing business needs and user requirements in a comparable role.

• Preferred experience of three to five years in a financial services setting.

• Familiarity with accounting principles and financial statements is preferred.

• A master’s degree or a bachelor’s degree along with a professional certification (e.g., CPA).

• Extensive experience with SQL and relational database systems such as DB2, Oracle, and SQL Server.

• Experience with data warehouse environments.

• Knowledge of logical and physical data modeling concepts.

• Proficient in R and/or Python for data analysis.

• Familiarity with ETL and BI tools.

• Knowledge of data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, and Sisense.

• Understanding of programming/scripting concepts and the software development life cycle.

• Ability to lift or move objects weighing up to 30 pounds.

• Ability to remain stationary, often standing or sitting for extended periods.

• Strong communication skills for exchanging information.

• Ability to receive detailed verbal information and discern fine distinctions in sound.

• Close and continuous visual acuity for preparing and analyzing data, viewing computer screens, and extensive reading.
