This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Formulate and implement strategic business development initiatives aimed at achieving revenue and growth targets within the Clinical Apheresis Services sector.
• Discover, assess, and secure new opportunities with hospitals, academic medical institutions, physician practices, cancer treatment centers, transplant programs, and healthcare organizations.
• Establish and nurture relationships with physicians, nursing leadership, transplant coordinators, cellular therapy programs, blood bank directors, laboratory managers, hospital executives, and supply chain personnel.
• Guide intricate consultative sales processes from initial contact through to contract finalization and implementation.
• Work in conjunction with Clinical Apheresis Services, Operations, Medical Affairs, Quality, Laboratory Services, and Process Development teams to create tailored solutions for clients.
• Act as a trusted advisor by comprehending customer clinical requirements, operational hurdles, and emerging trends in therapeutic apheresis and cellular therapies.
• Represent the American Red Cross at industry conferences, professional organizations, customer gatherings, and regional educational seminars.
• Ensure the accuracy of the sales pipeline, forecast opportunities, and supply market intelligence for strategic planning initiatives.
• Foster growth within existing customer relationships by cross-selling additional clinical and therapeutic services.
• Contribute to the development of new clinical service offerings informed by customer insights and healthcare market dynamics.
• A Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of experience in business development, healthcare sales, clinical, operational, or hospital settings.
• Proven track record of cultivating customer relationships, managing complex healthcare stakeholders, or driving business growth initiatives.
• Experience in hospital environments, healthcare systems, transfusion medicine, oncology, hematology, cellular therapy, transplant, or related clinical fields.
• Ability to engage with executive-level healthcare leaders and influence cross-functional decision-makers.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.
• Background in supporting therapeutic apheresis, stem cell collections, photopheresis, transfusion medicine, cellular therapy, oncology, hematology, or transplant programs.
• Established network of contacts within hospitals, academic medical centers, physician groups, transplant centers, or healthcare systems.
• Familiarity with FACT, AABB, FDA, CMS, Joint Commission, and other regulatory standards pertinent to clinical apheresis services.
• Experience with commercial cell and gene therapy collection programs is preferred.
• Individuals with nursing, clinical operations, laboratory, blood banking, transfusion medicine, or healthcare leadership backgrounds who wish to transition into a business development role are highly encouraged to apply.
