This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +8 more states.
• Take ownership of the entire sales process, from territory development and prospecting to discovery, product demonstrations, proposal crafting, negotiation, and closing deals.
• Formulate and implement a territory strategy utilizing market insights, public financial data, established connections, and the priorities and purchasing cycles of the public sector.
• Create and sustain a robust sales pipeline.
• Focus on new business generation by prioritizing opportunities effectively.
• Cultivate trusted relationships with senior decision-makers in public entities and higher education institutions.
• Identify and address complex needs, positioning three+one’s solutions in alignment with financial and operational priorities.
• Seek and pursue opportunities within counties, cities, school districts, colleges, and universities.
• Achieve or surpass pipeline and revenue objectives.
• Keep accurate forecasts and provide leadership with transparency regarding pipeline health, opportunity advancement, and anticipated outcomes.
• Maintain current sales activity and opportunity records within the CRM system.
• Utilize knowledge of the public-sector market, competitive landscape, and emerging trends for effective prospecting and territory planning.
• Oversee conference participation from initial planning and engagement to post-event follow-up.
• Report directly to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO).
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• A Bachelor’s degree along with seven (7) years of relevant work experience.
• At least five (5) years of pertinent sales experience.
• A Master's degree is preferred.
• Proven experience selling directly to local government, K-12, higher education, or other public-sector organizations.
• Strong comprehension of public-sector purchasing processes, decision-makers, and sales cycles.
• A demonstrated history of achieving or exceeding sales targets and independently securing new business.
• Proven capability to develop a territory, generate a qualified pipeline, and navigate opportunities through the complete sales cycle.
• Experience in building trusted relationships and selling to C-suite and senior executive decision-makers.
• Established success in consultative sales, translating complex client needs into relevant solutions and business value.
• Preferred experience in public finance, treasury management, banking, fintech, or other solutions that support public-sector financial or administrative operations.
• Familiarity with value-based sales methodologies is preferred.
• Excellent presentation and communication abilities.
• Capacity to simplify complex financial concepts for varied audiences.
• Professionalism, trustworthiness, integrity, and discretion in managing sensitive client information and proprietary systems.
• Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills.
• Capability to handle multiple priorities independently.
