This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +3 more states.
• Develops and implements territory plans along with efficient travel itineraries.
• Establishes BHHC as the preferred choice for agents and targeted markets.
• Actively seeks new agency appointments, arranges prospect meetings, explores book transfer opportunities, and identifies additional agency production sources.
• Tracks agency growth and profitability while formulating strategies for profit enhancement and expansion.
• Oversees agency relationships, including appointments, terminations, discussions on renewal strategies, and agency production targets.
• Conducts face-to-face visits with agencies and engages in prospect meetings, claims reviews, meet and greets, and stewardship sessions.
• Works collaboratively with Underwriting, Client Services, Loss Control, Marketing, IT, and other corporate resources.
• Instructs agents on BHHC’s value proposition, target markets, acquisition prospects, territory objectives, and service model.
• Provides mentorship to Business Development Managers and aids in the introduction of new tools and processes.
• Participates in weekly underwriting meetings and contributes to large-account quoting and opportunity cultivation.
• Collects and evaluates competitor data and territory prospects; formulates action plans accordingly.
• Creates and maintains Producer Profiles, Business Plans, Agency Files, Bravo contacts, and business activity reports.
• Preserves President’s Circle data and utilizes the program for new business development and renewals.
• Represents the company on internal and external insurance committees, takes part in approved charitable events, and attends insurance conferences.
• Assists with special projects and assignments as needed.
• Prior experience in the insurance field is mandatory.
• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution is required.
• A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in the workers' compensation insurance sector for Senior-Level positions, ideally within Marketing or Underwriting.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Proficient in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
• Capable of effectively presenting information to management and public audiences.
• Skilled in developing, executing, and communicating company programs, new business prerequisites, and agency action plans.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Quick to learn proprietary and vendor software applications.
• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States, without the need for current or future employment visa sponsorship.
• Regular travel within a designated territory is required.
