This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
⢠Propel the expansion of the molded elastomer business in the medical and aerospace sectors, focusing on LSR injection molding.
⢠Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in medical devices, life sciences, and aerospace sectors.
⢠Utilize existing industry connections and relationships to create new opportunities.
⢠Act as the primary commercial and technical liaison with clients.
⢠Formulate account strategies for OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and innovative high-growth companies.
⢠Assist with initial quoting and RFQ assessments.
⢠Offer part feasibility and DFM insights.
⢠Provide guidance on material selection, including LSR, HCR, gum rubber, and specialty elastomers.
⢠Develop tooling concepts, strategies for cavitation, and select molding processes.
⢠Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams to create technically sound and executable quotes.
⢠Convert customer requirements into technical and commercial inputs for internal use.
⢠Advise clients on LSR injection molding, gum silicone injection molding, and compression molding techniques.
⢠Provide recommendations on tooling design, molding tolerances, scalability, performance criteria, regulatory factors, and material trade-offs.
⢠Regularly travel to customer locations, industry events, and trade shows.
⢠Represent IRP Med as a trusted technical authority and manufacturing partner.
⢠Foster customer partnerships and drive revenue growth within the medical and aerospace sectors.
⢠At least 10 years of experience in business development, sales engineering, or technical sales.
⢠Background in medical device manufacturing, aerospace elastomers, or silicone and rubber molded components.
⢠Strong engineering foundation; preference for Mechanical, Materials, Chemical, or related fields.
⢠Familiarity with LSR and silicone elastomer materials.
⢠Understanding of rubber compounds and their performance characteristics.
⢠Knowledge of tooling design and molding methodologies.
⢠Experience in supporting complex quotes and early-stage program development.
⢠Established industry contacts and customer relationships.
⢠Capability to work independently in a remote position.
⢠Willingness to travel as needed.
⢠Hands-on experience in regulated medical manufacturing is preferred.
⢠Familiarity with medical quality and documentation standards is preferred.
⢠Background in custom tooling and multi-cavity molding programs is preferred.
⢠Experience in selling engineered components instead of commodity items is preferred.
⢠Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee), as mandated by U.S. export control regulations.
