This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Take ownership of and implement the biometrics business development strategy to meet and surpass revenue goals.
• Identify, qualify, and secure new business prospects in the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors.
• Manage intricate deal pursuits, encompassing both end-to-end and functional service provider models.
• Develop and oversee the sales pipeline in Salesforce to ensure precise forecasting and reporting to senior leadership.
• Act as a trusted consultant to senior client stakeholders in the areas of data management, clinical operations, biometrics, and procurement.
• Cultivate strategic account relationships to facilitate expansion and retention alongside the Account Management team.
• Lead high-level presentations, proposals, and negotiations of contracts.
• Collaborate with leaders in biometrics, delivery, and product to ensure offerings are in line with market demands.
• Convert client challenges into unique biometrics solutions.
• Keep track of industry trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory updates to guide strategic decisions.
• Work in partnership with operations, finance, and legal teams to create commercially viable and operationally sound agreements.
• Contribute to pricing models, deal structures, and service innovations.
• Serve as a senior ambassador for the biometrics business both internally and externally.
• Bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree (MS, PhD, MBA) is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of combined experience in data management, life sciences, technology, or business development within the pharmaceutical/biotech, CROs, or life sciences services sectors is preferred.
• Proven track record in selling biometrics services, including biostatistics, statistical programming, data management, and analytics.
• Demonstrated ability to finalize large, intricate, multi-year contracts.
• Exceptional executive communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
• An existing network within biotech and pharmaceutical biometrics organizations is preferred.
• Experience with functional service provider, hybrid, or strategic partnership models is preferred.
• Strong grasp of the clinical trial lifecycle and regulatory landscape is preferred.
• Strategic mindset with robust commercial insight.
