This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Establish the market standing of Twist’s Biopharma discovery services division.
• Formulate strategic objectives and cultivate essential customer relationships.
• Discover new business opportunities and forge partnerships.
• Negotiate and finalize business agreements.
• Maintain comprehensive awareness of market dynamics.
• Collaborate with internal technical teams, project management, synthetic biology sales teams, marketing, legal, and other key account managers to enhance market share and optimize revenue.
• Lead initiatives to identify and facilitate opportunities with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, related companies, and academic institutions.
• Manage and sustain commercial alliances with internal Twist biopharma resources and external pharma/biotech partner stakeholders.
• Prospect and generate leads for potential customers, collaborators, and partners.
• Generate, drive, and secure deal flow related to antibody development solution contracts.
• Support and evaluate incoming partnership and licensing opportunities.
• Promote and showcase Twist's capabilities, competencies, and offerings.
• Lead negotiations, perform due diligence, and drive deal processes through to contract execution.
• Maintain and expand customer relationships, collaborations, and partnerships in an alliance management capacity.
• Oversee the development of financial models, contracts, and agreements.
• Collect and analyze market and financial data to present compelling business cases.
• Conduct market research and maintain a diverse revenue pipeline roadmap.
• Engage with Legal, IP, Finance, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, Sales & Marketing teams.
• Supervise tailored sales tools and marketing materials, including proposals, RFP responses, and technical presentations.
• Adhere to regulatory standards and ISO 13485 requirements.
• An advanced degree and/or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in antibody discovery, lead engineering, or a related scientific field is required.
• A PhD or Master’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline is preferred.
• Experience in sales, business development, licensing, or commercial roles within Biotherapeutic or Biopharma industry organizations is essential.
• Proven, extensive, and successful track record in sales and partnerships within the pharmaceutical industry, ideally in the area of protein and/or antibody engineering.
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience in the antibody discovery and antibody engineering domains.
• Familiarity with antibody drug discovery workflows and Biotherapeutic development processes from hit discovery to lead optimization to pre-clinical stages.
• Experience in a global working environment is advantageous.
• Background in a corporate, global, or regional sales and marketing role related to antibody discovery and development products/services.
• Adhere to regulatory standards and ISO 13485 requirements.
