This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Formulate and implement business development strategies across a diverse array of high-priority accounts.
• Develop and oversee strategic account plans and partnerships with key, high-value clients.
• Assess market trends, customer requirements, and competitive insights to uncover new opportunities.
• Meet or surpass annual sales targets through engagement with senior-level clients and strategic networking.
• Establish, nurture, and grow client relationships to enhance long-term account value.
• Highlight the business unit's capabilities and unique offerings.
• Review proposals and collaborate with Client Services to establish pricing and margins.
• Manage opportunity assessments, ensure pipeline accuracy, and provide accurate forecasts.
• Foster internal communication and maintain up-to-date territory and client documentation.
• Assist in proposal development and lead presentations for clients.
• Utilize industry knowledge and existing connections to create new business opportunities.
• Expand and diversify the client portfolio through enterprise-level business development strategies.
• Promote sustainable revenue growth, strengthen competitive positioning, and achieve measurable business outcomes across the portfolio.
• Perform any other responsibilities as assigned or required.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant formal academic qualification.
• Fortrea may accept relevant and equivalent experience in place of educational prerequisites.
• Proven expertise in complex deal structuring, negotiation, and executing multi-year contracts.
• Strong comprehension of business strategy with the capability to shape strategies for a wider portfolio of accounts.
• Extensive knowledge in drug development and market dynamics.
• Excellent customer relationship management skills and commercial acumen at senior client levels.
• Demonstrated negotiation experience at the executive tier.
• Proven ability to influence senior client stakeholders and internal leadership.
• Capability to drive performance through influence and accountability in a matrixed environment.
• Frequent travel is necessary based on business requirements.
• Willingness to attend meetings across various time zones beyond standard working hours.
• Availability to work extended hours occasionally to meet client deliverable timelines or attend client meetings.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in business development within the Clinical Research, Pharma, or Biotech sectors.
• At least 6 years of experience in senior leadership or strategic client management roles.
• Proven history of achieving substantial sales targets and managing high-value client accounts.
