This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Identify, prospect, cultivate, and secure new third-party logistics (3PL) partnerships within the beauty, cosmetics, skincare, wellness, consumer goods, CPG, and related retail sectors.
• Utilize industry connections, professional networks, market insights, and direct outreach to pinpoint potential brands and companies.
• Comprehend the requirements of prospective clients and create tailored solutions for warehousing, omnichannel fulfillment, e-commerce, direct-to-consumer (DTC) fulfillment, retail distribution, transportation, kitting, subscription fulfillment, inventory optimization, and product launches.
• Build senior-level client relationships and grasp their operational challenges, growth goals, distribution strategies, and future requirements.
• Oversee opportunities from identification and introduction to discovery, proposal creation, negotiation, and execution.
• Engage in proposals, RFPs, RFQs, pricing recommendations, presentations, service models, and commercial strategies alongside PCA leadership.
• Keep precise records of prospects, opportunities, activities, revenue, and progress in PCA’s CRM or reporting systems.
• Track developments in the beauty, wellness, consumer goods, retail, e-commerce, and 3PL markets.
• Work collaboratively with operations, transportation, customer service, finance, technology, legal, and executive teams.
• Facilitate smooth transitions from sales to implementation to ensure alignment of client expectations, commercial commitments, and operational needs.
• Identify innovative solutions that enhance speed-to-market, scalability, inventory accuracy, retailer compliance, customer experience, and supply chain performance.
• Approximately 10+ years of experience in business development, logistics, 3PL, fulfillment, supply chain, distribution, or related fields.
• Proven track record of developing and closing substantial new business opportunities.
• Established connections within the beauty, cosmetics, skincare, fragrance, wellness, consumer goods, CPG, retail, or related sectors.
• Experience in selling 3PL, warehousing, fulfillment, transportation, or supply chain solutions.
• Knowledge of omnichannel fulfillment, DTC operations, retail distribution, warehousing, transportation, inventory management, and retailer compliance.
• Ability to sell complex solutions to founders, CEOs, COOs, supply chain leaders, operations executives, and other senior decision-makers.
• Strong skills in negotiation, presentation, relationship-building, and closing deals.
• Experience in responding to or developing RFPs, RFQs, proposals, pricing strategies, and commercial solutions.
• Proficiency in using CRM systems and maintaining an active opportunity pipeline.
• Capacity to independently develop opportunities while effectively collaborating with internal operational and executive teams.
• A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Marketing, or a related field is preferred, but significant relevant industry experience may substitute.
• Comfort with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or similar systems, Microsoft Office, virtual collaboration tools, and other business development and logistics technologies.
• Reasonable availability during PCA’s business hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
• Commission-based compensation: 2% of Commissionable Revenue for Year 1.
• Commission-based compensation: 1% of Commissionable Revenue for Year 2.
• Commissions are generally calculated quarterly and paid following the respective calendar quarter.
• No artificial limit on the amount of business the Consultant can generate.
• Remote work arrangement available.
• Significant discretion over how and when consulting services are delivered, subject to commitments and deadlines.
