This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Identify, locate, and reach out to owners or CEOs of top-tier software companies to source acquisition prospects for Embrace.
• Utilize existing connections and cultivate new relationships with software company owners, CEOs, founders, M&A advisors, and professionals in private equity/venture capital.
• Establish and nurture relationships.
• Communicate Embrace’s value proposition effectively.
• Offer guidance on business development best practices, mentor, and lead others.
• Determine relevant KPIs and ensure accountability.
• Conduct market analysis to identify potential markets or industries for new platform acquisitions.
• Advocate for Salesforce CRM by managing, tracking, and overseeing target accounts.
• Set quarterly, monthly, and weekly objectives for themselves and other business development personnel.
• Achieve and surpass monthly business development goals, including discovery and follow-up calls along with other measurable sourcing KPIs.
• Operate independently and collaborate with M&A leadership to efficiently qualify acquisition opportunities.
• Assess opportunities at the upper end of the acquisition funnel to maintain focus for the M&A team.
• Report directly to the Sr. Manager of Business Development.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a Business Development/Sales role at a software company or a client-facing M&A/finance position within business development, sales, and/or account management.
• Previous experience in a VMS acquisitive organization is advantageous.
• Successfully sourced at least 1 closed transaction in a current or past M&A business development role.
• Basic knowledge of financial terminology and metrics, such as Revenue, Churn/Attrition/GDR, COGS, Opex, and ARR.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Confidence and executive presence to engage with CEOs, M&A advisors, corporate development professionals, private equity, and venture capital experts.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working flexible hours.
• Outstanding work ethic, proactive attitude, and a strong sense of urgency.
• MBA or CFA is considered a plus.
• Previous business development experience in a relevant VMS sector, including GovTech, LegalTech, Healthcare, Industrial, or Finance, is preferred.
