This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mississippi.
• Create strategic marketing plans that take into account agency strengths, competitors, and market conditions.
• Identify and secure lucrative new business opportunities within targeted markets.
• Formulate and execute strategic initiatives aimed at increasing market share.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with key agencies.
• Offer customized insurance solutions to agencies.
• Educate agencies on product features, market placement, and effective sales techniques.
• Propel revenue growth by meeting or surpassing sales objectives.
• Develop and implement cross-selling and up-selling strategies.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis.
• Recognize trends, opportunities, and threats to guide strategic decision-making.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• Act as a field team member within Mississippi.
• Travel frequently, both during the day and overnight, to meet with agents and brokers.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.
• Typically, a minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic business development, marketing, or a similar role.
• Completion of or ongoing progress towards certifications such as Associate in Underwriting (AU), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Program in General Insurance (INS), or Associate of Risk Management (ARM).
• Strong grasp of agency dynamics, marketing, underwriting, and risk management.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to foster relationships.
• Proficiency in analyzing competitive data and industry trends.
• Ensures adherence to insurance laws and regulations.
• Capable of applying underwriting rules, guidelines, and standards from rating manuals.
• Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to leverage data for decision-making.
• Proven decision-making skills and a customer-focused approach.
• The position requires frequent travel during the day and overnight (60% - 80% of the time) to visit agents and brokers.
