Senior Business Analyst – Oracle, Finance Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Spearhead collaboration with Finance and cross-functional teams to convert strategic goals, business processes, and system challenges into scalable IT-enabled solutions.

• Manage comprehensive business analysis, encompassing requirements gathering, documentation, validation, prioritization, and traceability.

• Act as a crucial liaison between Business and IT during the entire delivery lifecycle.

• Oversee the design, testing, and implementation of Oracle E-Business Suite R12 and customized Finance system solutions.

• Direct the delivery of system enhancements and initiatives, overseeing scope, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder alignment.

• Organize activities within the IT Global Quarterly Release process.

• Assess solution designs and re-engineered processes, offering informed recommendations.

• Promote process optimization and standardization across Finance systems and workflows.

• Ensure compliance with SOX and governance standards for system modifications.

• Collaborate with offshore delivery and support teams to uphold service quality and resolve issues.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• More than 7 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a Senior Business Analyst role.

• Extensive experience leading Oracle Finance implementations, enhancements, or transformation projects.

• Strong hands-on functional knowledge of Oracle EBS R12 Financial Modules, including Purchasing, iProcurement, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, and General Ledger.

• Profound understanding of Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, and Record-to-Report Finance business processes.

• Proven experience managing complex, large-scale, cross-functional, multi-regional Finance IT initiatives.

• Experience in managing the complete requirements lifecycle.

• Ability to translate Finance process requirements into functional behaviors within Oracle ERP.

• Experience leading UAT planning, validation strategies, and release readiness initiatives.

• Familiarity with delivering and supporting integrations between Oracle Financial modules and external systems.

• Capability to evaluate system designs and provide structured recommendations.

• Proven track record of driving measurable enhancements in Finance systems or processes.

• Experience in SOX-compliant or regulated environments.

• Experience collaborating with offshore or near-shore delivery and support teams.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

• Basic knowledge of other Oracle R12 Finance modules such as AME, SLA, and Fixed Assets is advantageous.

• Familiarity with Oracle PL/SQL is a plus.

• Experience with Sabrix, Kofax, or MarkView is advantageous.

• Knowledge of OBIEE, Power BI, Looker, or similar reporting tools is a plus.

• Basic understanding of databases, data flows, ETL concepts, or analytics processes is an added advantage.

• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps is a plus.

• Experience supporting Finance system architecture or solution design is a plus.

• Experience mentoring or coaching junior analysts is a plus.

• Experience in process automation or Finance transformation initiatives is a plus.
