Senior Business Analyst – GDS / Public Sector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Assist in the execution of a significant digital transformation initiative within the public sector.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design and implement digital services that fulfill user requirements and align with the GOV.UK Service Standard.

• Engage across the Discovery, Alpha, Beta, and Live phases of the project.

• Clarify complex policy, operational, and technical challenges.

• Work in close partnership with Product Managers, User Researchers, Service Designers, Delivery Managers, and Engineering teams.

• Convert user, business, and policy needs into actionable results.

• Contribute to the effective delivery of services for citizens and internal government operations.

• Gather, analyze, and document requirements.

• Organize workshops and promote consensus among diverse groups of stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience as a Business Analyst in UK Government or broader public sector digital transformation initiatives.

• Deep understanding of the GOV.UK Service Standard, GDS Delivery Framework, and the service assessment process.

• Demonstrated experience across Discovery, Alpha, Beta, and Live delivery phases.

• Proficient in navigating complex stakeholder environments involving policy, operational, technical, and executive stakeholders.

• Expertise in eliciting, analyzing, and documenting requirements within intricate and ambiguous settings.

• Capable of identifying user, business, and operational needs and translating them into precise requirements and recommendations.

• Strong background in developing user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Experienced in creating process maps and service blueprints.

• Proficient in formulating business rules and data requirements.

• Skilled in developing as-is and to-be operating models.

• Strong experience in articulating functional and non-functional requirements.

• Comfortable facilitating workshops and driving consensus among a variety of stakeholder groups.

• Available immediately or able to commence with a one-week notice period.
