Senior Business Analyst, Finance, Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Execute month-end closing procedures for designated locations, encompassing accruals and journal entries.

• Analyze and present financial results to both operations and leadership teams.

• Serve as the finance expert for customers during invoicing and external budgeting cycles.

• Review monthly expense entries and prepare necessary reclassifications.

• Prepare and dispatch monthly customer invoices along with supporting documentation.

• Develop, analyze, and present internal budgets, forecasts, and flash reports.

• Deliver periodic and ad hoc financial reporting utilizing ERP systems, spreadsheets, and manually gathered data.

• Generate and assess labor productivity reports and metrics.

• Collaborate with HR on employee position, task, and financial coding matters.

• Work in partnership with temporary staffing agencies to confirm hours, rates, and invoicing.

• Review and authorize accounts payable invoices.

• Report directly to the Area Senior Finance Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is mandatory.

• A minimum of 5 years of finance or accounting experience is required.

• Previous experience with profit and loss analysis is essential.

• Strong grasp of internal and external budgeting and forecasting processes.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.

• Must successfully pass all necessary background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol screenings.

• Prior experience in Logistics or Contract Logistics is advantageous, though not essential.

• Familiarity with ERP software, particularly SAP, is beneficial but not mandatory.

• Excellent time management skills are required.

• Comfortable working in a role that involves significant quantitative analysis.

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities are necessary.

• Ability to navigate ambiguity and work both independently and as part of a team.
